Bruce Springsteen is surrounded by some of the 38,000 fans in attendance at his concert at RDS Arena in Dublin, Ireland on July 17, 2012. Three nights earlier, his concert in Hyde Park, London unceremoniously came to a halt when concert organizers "pulled the plug" as he was performing his encore song of "Twist and Shout" with Paul McCartney. He had exceeded the strict curfew of Hyde Park, and the organizers were forced to shut off the sound or risk being fined thousands of dollars.
Three nights later, he mocked the incident by opening the show in Dublin by "turning on" a giant prop of an electrical switch and saying "Before we were so rudely interupted..." and then tore into a rousing version of "Twist and Shout" mid song, completing the song he attempted to finish nights earlier. This was followed by a vengeful rendition of The Clash's "I Fought The Law".
More than 3 1/2 hours and 30 songs later, he came full circle and ended the show with another take of "Twist and Shout" followed by his song "American Land" where a fake policeman stopped the show before the song began.
