James Hetfield of heavy metal band Metallica and country music legend Kris Kristofferson show mutual respect and admiration when they meet for the first time ever backstage at the Danish music festival Roskilde on July 6, 2013. Kristofferson's set was a few slots before Metallica's headline spot at the festival and James, being a country music fan, made sure to catch his show. He went out of his way to make sure he could meet Kristofferson backstage after his set. They were both in awe and thrilled to meet each other. Later, Kristofferson's wife Lisa Meyers told me that according to her children after meeting James, Kris "now had street cred" !!
