Festival Preview: Float Along 2023
After the success of the 2022 edition, it’s no surprise that Float Along is returning to Sheffield in 2023, and it’s bringing some heavyweights of the UK music scene with it, The festival takes place on September 23rd, in various venues across Sheffield, including The Leadmill, Sidney & Matilda, and Corporation.
With a lineup that includes post-punk heroes The Murder Capital, Teesside agitators-in-chief Benefits and the always stunning WH Lung (who are hopefully in a much bigger room this year) the 2023 edition of Float Along promises to build on the successes of last year, and continue to cement this festival’s reputation as one of the most impressive city festivals on the UK circuit.

Once the headliners have packed up for the night, DJ-royalty Erol Alkan will be doing his thing until the wee hours. Alkan has previously remixed everyone from New Order to Peter, Bjorn and John, so it’s safe to say his set will be loaded with bona fide indie-pop bangers.
The full lineup can be viewed below, and tickets are available here.
