New Artist Spotlight: Mandy, Indiana
This week's hot tip is English-French noise rock four-piece Mandy, Indiana, who split their time between Manchester and Berlin, and whose songs are entirely in French. And they're brilliant.

The band released their first single, Nike of Samothrace, in 2020, and dropped their debut album, i've seen a way, to critical acclaim in May 2023. Led by Valentine Caulfield, who hails from Paris, they create melodic noisescapes with nods to dance, electronica and new wave, but with their flag firmly planted in rock territory.

The result is a dazzling, dizzying sonic maelstrom which is difficult to pin down, but by just going along with it, the band take you on a journey somewhere different each and every time.
